Milk that says where it stood

A regenerative dairy selling into shops that already had four milks, none of which explained themselves.

Verdal 1

Verdal 2 — The gate plate, the only sign on the farm

Verdal 4 — The dairy at five in the morning

The whole argument for Verdal is on the back of the carton, so the front had to earn the two seconds it takes to turn one over. We kept the carton white and gave it one wide green band, because a full-color pack in this aisle reads as a soft drink. The green is the actual color of the pasture in the third week of May, sampled from a photograph the farmer took himself and then pulled two steps toward yellow so it survives print on uncoated board.
